With their eye patches and frequent waves of plunder and violence, transient orcas are stunning pirates to behold in action. This beautiful whale was sighted in the channels around Sonora Island, British Columbia. We were extremely lucky to get such a candid view of what is, at times, a very unpredictable animal to locate.
